About

Welcome to my page. I am an anthropologist at the University of Vienna (Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology), specializing in the intersection of digital anthropology and psychological anthropology.

I hold a Master’s in Psychological and Psychiatric Anthropology from Brunel University (London) and a PhD from the University of Vienna. My academic journey includes research visits at James Cook University (Singapore), Monash University and RMIT (Melbourne), and University College London (UCL) and a fellowship at the Münster University (Germany).

My work investigates how people engage with digital technologies, focusing especially on smartphone practices. I use ethnographic and participatory methods to design research that incorporates diverse perspectives and highlights the experiences of research participants.

I am also a convener of the European Network for Psychological Anthropology, a co-founder of the Digital Ethnography Initiative and a co-organizer of the Homo Digitalis public talk series.
